Labor Day Weekend: We had a great time! The place was very clean and quiet. We canoed on the Intermediate River to Lake Bellaire, ate at Toonies and then went to Traverse City the next day. The weather held out for us. It is so beautiful at Shanty Creek. I walked all over that place looking at all the views. My daughter wanted to use her ipod so I just took a shot with the text. Thanks for sharing! Amy

July: We had a great time! The central location of Shanty Creek provided a perfect "home-base" for many day trips. We went to Traverse City, Charlevoix, Mackinaw Island, and Harbor Springs. We golfed The Legend, shopped, and went to the casino. We swam, rode bikes, ate great meals (and ice cream) and had an all-around wonderful week. If you are renting-out any weeks next year, please let us know. I think we would be very interested in going again. Also, thank you for the delicious welcome snacks. They were much enjoyed and appreciated, especially the spring rolls...yummy! It was very kind of you to leave them for us. Jody and Chris
